Last month, Rain blessed me with this purposeful award. I’ve been searching for a new dress for the special occasion, but it’s too much pressure. So, please, excuse my jeans, black t-shirt, and slippers, they suit my comfy, loving purpose better than [insert famous designer name here]. Now, that’s out of the way…
Thank you for this blog badge.

Now, the privilege is mine to pass this emblem to other bloggers worthy of this special prize. Envelope, please.
Jennifer gave me this sweet award for Valentine’s Day. It fits my style perfectly. Daffodils are my favorite flower.

This token of appreciation is for you! Yes, you! Thank you for reading. I am honored that you spend a few moments of your time at my internet home.
Because of their kind comments, I’m mentioning these friendly bloggers: Emily’s 5 Blessings, Remodeling This Life, All Things Hold Together, Untraditional Home, At Shore’s End, and Under His Construction. Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I always enjoy the discussion.
For more great blogs, visit the carnivals.
Carnival of Homeschooling is at The Daily Planet.
The Charlotte Mason Carnival is at Simply Charlotte Mason.

Voting has started for this year’s Homeschool Blog Awards. Life Nurturing Education is in the race for Best Artistic Content with some resplendent competition.

This morning I decided to campaign a bit, so I emailed my parents. Surely, they will vote for me. At least, they better. (Mom, Dad, you are voting, right?)
Now I appeal to you, my wonderful readers. You make blogging fun! Without you, I’d talk to myself while hiding in the bathroom. (Well, actually I still do that, but not as frequently.) My campaign promise is the same, whether you vote for me or not. I will continue seeking biblical principles and sharing encouragement for the home school journey.
Please consider voting for my Principle Approach running mates, as well.
PrincipledMom is listed in two categories, Best Encourager and Best Curriculum/Business. She is worthy in both categories.
Principled Discovery’s best race is in the Best Current Events, Opinions, or Politics category. It can also be found among the Best “Live What You Believe” nominees.
To cast your ballot follow this link to the The Homeschool Blog Awards or click on the button above. The process is very simple. You don’t have to sign anything or show your driver’s license. Just click on the categories, select the blog of your choice, and then “Vote” at the bottom of the list.
Thank you for your support! Best wishes to all the participants.

There are many wonderful blogs listed in this year’s Homeschool Blog Awards. I am honored to be in the Best Artistic Content category.
I am grateful to those who nominated me, and appreciate all my readers. You challenge me to think, compose, and endure. Knowing we are in this home school adventure together is such an encouragement. May our children grow strong in character and love for the preservation of liberty and the glory of God.

Mandi gave me the coveted, flowery shoe award. She thinks I’m really nice. Early in the morning my kids might not agree with her.
As a nerd teacher, I investigated the origins of this award. It turns out that anyone can create a badge. Now, why didn’t I think of that? Probably because Adobe Photoshop is still on my learn-to-use list. Once I master it, I’ll let you know what I design. Are you patient? It might take a year or two or three. Anyway, these words accompanied the first slipper:
This award will be awarded to those that are just nice people, good blog friends and those that inspire good feelings and inspiration! Those that care about others that are there to lend support or those that are just a positive influence in our blogging world!
How thoughtful and sweet! I am proud to be part of such a wonderful group.
Wearing the fancy shoe reminds me of a verse in Romans 10:15. “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news of good things.” I am honored to bestow this award upon some bloggers with beautiful feet.
Jen, Aduladi’, Shirley, DJ, April, Lindafay, and Renae may you continue to inspire as you walk with feet shod in peace.

The Blogger Reflection Award was given to me by the marvelous Dana of Principled Discovery at her recent blogger banquet. My acceptance speech was given just outside the ceremony in the comment box. It was preceded by the powerfully pensive Thinking Blogger Awards and followed by thunderous applause for the Rockin’ Girl Blogger Awards. So many wonderful websites were honored. Honestly I am humbled to be included.
Now I am blessed to bestow this award on a few worthy bloggers who are invited to proudly display their medallion and pass it on to other reflective writers.
- I will begin with the first blog I ever read. PrincipledMom, Anna Marie, encouraged me for two years with her gracious words before I was inspired to begin Life Nurturing Education.
- Mandi at Under His Construction has great insights. Of course, individuals from Idaho are very gifted so it is to be expected.
- Reading Honey from the Hive by Melissa always gives me something to ponder.
- It is a joy to visit Rebecca at Little-Homeschool-on-the-Prairie. She first invited me over to reminisce about the life of Rich Mullins. I was thankful for the tissues.
- Deidra has just changed the look and focus of her blog, Loving Him 4 Ever. She has my attention as she seeks wisdom for her life and lessons.
Thank you celebrating with me. I look forward to discovering many more deserving blogs as the festivities continue. Enjoy the afterglow and don’t worry about the paparazzi. They won’t even recognize you all dressed up.
Update: I hope that you can still recognize me. I decided to change my theme because I like this sidebar better plus there is a home tab so you will never get lost in my blog. Thanks for the new options, Andrea!
