Preschool Activity- Wind Bags

Sunshine’s “Kite”

Sweet Pea’s “Kite”

A gorgeous, spring-like day evokes the desire to fly kites. Our single kite has yet to be unearthed from rubble in the garage, so we created our own kites, or wind bags, depending who you ask. Simply, tie a piece of yarn around the handles of a plastic bag for one hour of backyard entertainment.

Sigh. Our front and back yard are white with nearly a foot of snow.

My kids used to do that and loved it immensely. It makes me long for spring (AFTER everything melts and the mud is gone.)

How fun it that!! We live in the mountains and the snow is finally melting. I am so longing for spring! Maybe we’ll get our boots on and try it anyways! Thanks for your post!

    Heather and Michelle,
I thought of all the families still under piles of snow after posting this. In particular, I thought of this picuture: This is SNOW! There are benefits of living in the south.

    Emily,
Thanks. God gave both my little girls nice hair and eyes. I’m jealous, too. ;)

    Anna-Marie,
Thanks for the laugh! I would never call you a windbag! However, I’m a different matter altogether… :)

This is a great idea! My son loves kites and it’s as yet been a bit too cold for kites. I am going to give this a try as soon as we have another reasonably warm day!

What a neat idea! If it was warm out, I might take Isaac out to do that, but we have a lot of snow!
I just wanted to thank you for your CoH submission and for coming to the carnival!
I am glad you enjoyed it!
    Prayers and Blessings,
    Miss Amanda

Beautiful! I love the simplicity of those kites. We seem to always break the ones we buy, anyway. Spring is coming!
